What a delicious verb. As living creatures, we need to feed ourselves, some stay omnivores naturally; some prefer to be fruitarians or vegetarians, or whatever those names are. Victoria’s Secrets models choose to eat occasionally, while obesity is a deadly death cause for Americans beside heart attack. But, the word is indeed delicious. No, I don’t wanna share about any culinary tips, though, fyi, if you love spicy food with various taste, you should come to my beloved country, Indonesia.  I just wanna share some things that I might know or I think I know about eating. No, it’s not that I have an eating disorder or I am fresh graduate from some kinda manner school but I just wanna remind myself about this thing called eating that I love hell that much. Once again, it’s just a reminder for me. And I do appreciate if you wanna add or criticize something. Or everything.

1. Eat before you’re starving. That’s because when you’re in a big hunger you tend to eat as many as your eyes can see. And you must know when to stop. What I mean here is definitely not when all the food on the plates are gone before you realize it.

2. If you are in a public place, especially the one requiring you to sit among strangers closely:

a. you have to behave politely. You won’t get an irritating look from others irritated.

b. do not take a look at people who do not behave politely. You will finish your own meal peacefully on your own.

Those are not  even options; those are two necessary things to be checked.

3. Do not eat too fast. Not that I concern about the attitude, it’s more to think about health. If you eat to fast, especially if you haven’t eaten for long hours, your digestion will have to adapt with the shocking condition. It won’t absorb well. I do not know the chemical details, but trust me, and you can ask your doctor, it will lead you to no good. It’s been verified. As I have read, what you have to do is chew each mouthful of food, or a spoonful of whatever you eat, and chew it 32x. No, you don’t have to count that, that’s boring, but you have to make sure that you don’t swallow the food too soon. Secrets tell that French women are skinny because they eat very slowly.

4. Sit proportionally. It will help your digestion process better. Besides, you will shape your backbone at the same time.

5. Improvise. Find as many articles as you can to find out what’s good to eat, how to eat, and when to eat.

Just wanna say that I don’t own any nutrition proficiency, and once again, I’m writing this just to remind myself. If you find it useful, then good for you.

Sometimes I feel bad for not appreciating the food I ate, knowing that outside my room, there are people in hunger, children in malnutrition, babies not fed, or fathers and mothers worrying about whether their family will eat or not. That’s just a problem for a day, what about tomorrow, when forests are burnt and animals are extinct. What about tomorrow, when drought is everywhere and human start to hate one another and countries start the war.

Well, there’s a problem for each day, do not forget to be grateful for what you can get, and eat well, people!
